Blog In Review: Ilan’s Red Cowz Blog ™
HPOE!
I promised Ilan I’d do a review for his blog ages ago, so here it is, enjoy xD I’m being a bit harsher because I was far to easy on the other kid…Brett, was it?

DESIGN
Ilan has bought Custom CSS for his blog, so he is able to personalise the blog. He uses the Pool theme, and the colour scheme appears to be red, black and dark-ish blue. The red text on the black background is far too contrasting, and hurts the reader’s eyes. A paler tone would work better. The background of the site is red and black abstract shapes on a plain blue background. It is artistic, but not very interesting. The Header looks good, and appeals to the viewer. The font used is sometimeshard to read, and some text does not show. The search button appearing on the top of the page looks messy and out of place. The comment box also looks messy.
Rating – *** – Could be better, but is good nonetheless.
CONTENT
Ilan posts often, most of the time posting several times a week. His posts range from short posts of less than 100 words to longer posts about deeper things. His posts are extremely well written and informative and you can tell that alot of effort has been put into them. He has many contests which engage his viewers, and pictures in most of his posts. However, sometimes his posts are too short, and therefore are not recognized by many viewers. Ilan, like Brett, needs to work on longer posts, even if they aren’t so often. His pages are also well thought out.
Rating – **** – Extremely good,but inconsistent length is a problem.
OVERALL
Ilan’s Redcowz Blog is a fantastic blog and I encourage you to read it. It has well-thought out posts and marvellous artwork, though the design of the site could be improved. Ilan also deletes many comments and needs to work on replying and interacting more with his viewers. It is a very good blog, nonetheless.
OVERALL RATING…… ***1/2

Have fun!
Josh

I don’t wanna sound offensive or anything, but I think Ilan deserved a better rating. I really like his blog.
Actually Dieter, I think Josh hit it pretty on the spot. I can wok on the search bar and comment box and change the posts text colors from red to white for less contrast. But i think i post a long post very often. if you go to the category, deep posts you can see their is at least one per week. Very good review josh.
Hey, Josh, just givin’ you a heads-up, I’m going to make a new post here soon, do you want me to do anything special with it??
Cool. Your reviews just have so much information! You took notice of a lot of detail there.
Ilan: I know what you mean. Ok. Whatever. YOu’re the owner of the site so I am guessing you would know bettter than me.
I like how everyone is being honest
it makes me happy
Dieter, just because you like a blog doesn’t mean its the bestest. I like Ilan’s blog too, but if I just gave everyone a ***** rating because I like the blog, there’s no point of a review. Review’s are there so people can make decisions and improvements. Their not meant to be biased.
Josh: I know. I admit I am wrong and you are right. I just have a different opinion. Keep up the good work Josh!
I changed it because your criticism. Could you update this post to what it is now in your eyes. Thank you so much!
That was a really good post, and I agree Carly, it’s nice how everyone’s being honest without getting all nasty about it.
Congrats all! And nice blog, Ilan. XD
lol carly. and anyway, hi Josh! long time no chat =P
Hey Josh! Congrats on the 46,000 views! I got a pic of it! http://i442.photobucket.com/albums/qq143/bengals4eva/hits.jpg
Cognrats! Hey! I was the 46,000 veiwer! YAY ME!!
Congrats Josh!
Thankssss! Omg, there was another earthquake in Victoria, just 12 days after the other one that measured 4.6/4.7 on the Richter Scale. This one’s epicenter was in the same place as last time’s, and was slightly less strong – 4.5 on the Richter Scale. I didn’t actually notice this one, probably because last time I was upstairs and this time I was downstairs, and upstairs seems to shake more than down. I just heard a noise, and thought it was wind.
Will post soon!

Was there? I didn’t notice!
Wow, your tough! Lol.
Wait a minute, now there’s earthquakes in Victoria?? Fires AND earthquakes?? Man, you need to move!
Stellar
yeah, Josh! MOVE AWAY FROM THAT DANGEROUS PLACE!!
come live with me in Colorado!! Only things that happens here are forest fires (but i dont live in the forest…) and blizzards! which are fun! they cancel school!!
Carly, that’s awesome that you live in Colorado. Almost all of my relatives live there and I visit often. Do you ever venture into the CO Springs area?? Ever been to Casa Bonita? (The most awesome restaraunt in the world)
Living in Victoria, Melbourne isn’t so bad. Even though there’ve been some disasters in Vic., doesn’t really mean that everyone should evacuate from it.
I’ve been living in Melb. for all my life and I, for one, do not want to leave. Josh might feel the same way… ^_^
WHOOP! KCA IS HERE! CLICK HERE TO KEEP UP WITH IT!

WHA??? Lol….what is ‘KCA’ anyway?
Melbourne is an alright place, even though I have never actually been there, but many of my friends visit frequently/live there. I am a Sydneysider myself, and I’ve lived here all my life – it’s pretty good.
Although I’d have to say, it never snows. Thats a good thing for me though. I hate snow. Euch, it’s just soooo cold! Blizzards would be good for getting out of school though. We never get that. Lol.
What’s Colorado like? Is it cold all year round? Where do you live Stell?
I live in Minnesota. Nothing compared to CO.
Привет!! Just to let you know, that is “hi!” in Russian. I don’t know if I told you this, but I am studying Russian…. don’t ask me why or where I’m going to use it.
I love Sydney. We got up there like every year.
I was there for Christmas… maybe I saw you xD
Haha im in colorado right now in the middle of a blizzard and its freezing. But the skiing is fun though. I live in florida. The only natural disasters that happen often are hurricanes.lol. there fun to play in though.
