“All you need is love, doo doo doo doo doo”
Hey there!
So, seeing as Josh is away and he’s asked us admins to post I thought I’d try my hand at somthing different. This has been bothering me for a while now, and though it’s not somthing that most people would generally think about (I think…well I don’t really know – my mind works in strange ways, trust me.) I thought I’d bring it up. Yep, the topic is love.
I’m not talking about marriage, boyfriend/girlfriend love, because I’m no expert in that area, I’m talking about how people use the word love these days. Now that I think about it, when I listen to my friends talking about whatever at school, they mention the word ‘love’ a lot. “Yeah, I love your shirt!”, “I love this song!”, “I love that tv show, did you watch it last night?”, “He is the best celebrity ever, I love him! I love him soooo much”.
So, thats pretty much the extent of their use of the word love. And I wanted everyone to think about how they use the word. Is it being overused now days? Has it lost its meaning? How many times have you used it today, when you really didn’t mean it?
Another thing I was thinking about is how in books, movies and on tv, love is made out to be easy and so un-complicated. Or the exact opposite, very complicated. How common are these misconceptions of love? It’s not easy, well it doesn’t seem it in my life, so if I’m missing somthing then let me know. What do you think about how love is portrayed on tv, in the movies, in books and wherever else?
…
Right, well I’m all deeped and meaningfulled out. How about you? Now that thats over, how’s everyone’s week going? I’m on holidays, so I’m not doing much at the moment, just hanging around home, bumming around. Watching TV. I cleaned some of my room today – I’m attempting to make it uber clean, as I plan to buy a gaming computer at the end of the year, and that’s going to take up a bit of space on my desk, so everything needs to be cleaned. Plus I’m thinking of investing in a small tv and a new ipod clock radio (When I have enough money….I only get $9 an hour at Big W, so it’s going to take a while to recuperate my funds after the computer splurge).
Well, have a great day!
I’ll leave you with my favourite quote, which coincidentally has to do with love:
“Maybe we can’t choose the people we fall for. Maybe that’s why they call it falling.”

Touching.. And so true..
Wow, I didn’t know Josh was away…
LOVE the post, though.

Does anyone know when Josh is back, I can’t remember and I’m too lazy to go and look at the comment…?

he’s coming back on wednesday
Nice post Squishy! Your “love is complicated” thing reminds me of my fave show called The Office and there is a whole REALLY complicated love thing between two of the characters, Jim and Pam (celebrity name: Jam!) and I like their TV relationship because its so real feeling, because its so complicated! yay!
wow that was long and random lol great post anyway

Thanks antsrule.
Thanks Mooseluver! I haven’t seen the office personally, but I’ve seen it at the dvd shop I think. Sounds interesting though…
Maybe I’ll watch it some day.

I just got muh shots the other day. =[[
My arm is sore.
Owiee.
Bye.
Thanks Ernicom!
Ouch Blinky, not needles! Well, I used to be really freaked out when I got needles but now I don’t really mind. I’ve kind of gotten over my fear, and I swear they have sugar in them so they always send me hyper! My best tip is, don’t be scared – it actually works, as soon as you’ve had the needle get someone to hit the spot where you had it. Then just keep moving it around, this stops it from hurting later on like you say yours does Blinky. So give it a good ‘ol wack! Oh, and make sure you don’t tense up while your getting the needle or it’s going to hurt more. Just force yourself to relax and your all good!
Lol, I feel like a needle getting expert! I don’t really mind getting them now….it’s sorta fun!
I think I’ve gone crazy…

Great post, Squishy, and thankyou SO much for taking the time and the effort to make a post! I appreciate it! Nice post, too! Funny thing, I remember that quote. I remember reading it somewhere recently. Maybe on my parent’s calendar, lol. Funny thing, I’ve been wanting to post about lve for a few weeks, but I’ve been busy, and I’m glad you didn’t post about the aspect of love that I was going to post in.

Wow, that was a comment packed full of things I now have to respond to. Ok, here goes…
Thankies! It was fun posting….I have nothing to do anyway, bordem has overcome me.
The quote is from my other site….that I haven’t updated in like ten gazillion years. Lol, it’s on the header.
Looking forward to your post on love….I wonder what it’s going to be about. I never knew there were so many aspects.
Happy to see you back.

Lol, that’s right, from your awesome falling star header! Thanks for clarifying, Squishy~
